Comment: Like most of you, I'm fully retired and doing things I never seemed to have time for . . . or even thought of. My wife, Patricia and I are active in Community Theaters, giving a hand to the local Historic Society, travel and making plans for even 'bigger' trips, Skiing (before the snow is all gone), and working around our 'acerage' with a creek running through it, an hour out of New York City. I'm not sure where we'll end up in our 'later' years, but this region has so much to offer and experience now and in the near future. I fear Corona will give this reunion more than just a little headache. I trust everyone who can will show up and exchange life's great experiences, large and small. |

1970-74 – attended University of Oregon, running track and cross country. Go Ducks! 1975-80 – taught math and computer classes and coached track and XC at Canby High School. Go Cougars! 1980-95 – taught and coached at Sunset High School in Beaverton. Go Apollos! My girls won 3 state XC championships, and we had the top ranked program in the state for the 15 years. Had a personal running streak of not missing a single day for 11 years and 3 months, broken only by an emergency appendectomy. Missed 5 days, then did another full 5-year streak, broken only by our trekking in Nepal making days tiring enough! 1986 – married Patty, the love of my life. (We recently celebrated our 35th anniversary!) 1995-2010 – we lived in Vienna, Austria, teaching and coaching at the American International School. Go Knights! Fabulous experience – we served the diplomatic and business communities, and had around 65 countries represented in or student body. We also traveled like crazy people – we have explored 74 countries and counting. Look forward to seeing central and south America and the Caribbean now that we are closer. 2010 – retired and moved to our new home in Trout Lake, WA. Lots of hiking and veggie gardening. 2017-present – built a house and moved to Eagle Crest in central Oregon. Love the weather and all the outdoor activities. Took up pickleball – it’s a blast! Won bronze and gold medals with my partner in my first two tournaments. I’m still running a few days a week. (And yes, I can still kick Toby’s butt - need you even ask?) |

I've been a public school music teacher for over 38 years. I am retired. I most recently taught in St. Helens, OR. I also taught in Banks, Reedville (Hillsboro) and Winston, OR. Most recently, because one of my sons lives in Texas, we spend about 5 months of the year there, near Dallas. I've found that I love Texas, and the almost every day sun! I have 4 sons, and 10 grandchildren, and have been married 44years. I played and coached basketball for many years. I made my own music CD. I'm currently trying to learn the game of golf, and successfully getting better. The most profound thing to happen to me occurred just after high school when I came into a relationship with Christ. Because of that, I have had a life full of blessing on many levels. No complaints here! |

Hey gang, can't wait to see you all at the 50! For the past 43 years, I have been practicing law with the same, Miller Nash, where I have met and worked with some incredible people. I look forward to continuing that for about 3 more years then jump into the world of part time which will allow me to spend more time with family, traveling, playing golf, making music, and continuing my work as a mediator, which, surprisingly, is quite exciting! I'm married to a wonderful woman, Betsy Stark Miller, who runs a non-profit agency for abused and neglected foster children caught up in the court system. Between us we have five adult children, three of mine, two of hers, and (so far) three beautiful and entertaining grandchildren - Frankie (3), Murphy (10 mos), and Emma (10 mos.) - coincidental cousins, not twins. |
