Comment: Hello Classmates!   Today is June 10, 2020, in the middle or end of this coronavirus quarantine.  I've been retired since 2018.  I have continued to stay involved in community theatre, mostly playing piano, and loving it.  Our summer show was put on hold but now we're moving forward in Phase 2.  My granddaughter is involved in the musical, Matilda. (Like Grandmother, like granddaughter!). Love that girl!  I have kept in close touch with Cheri Pickens Weaver; visiting, texting, emailing.  She is one busy retired alum!  I'm disappointed that we aren't meeting this year...hopefully we'll be able to rejoin in 2021.  Yes, we're getting older. I look at my pictures in the past and heave a huge sigh but then I think we're all in the same boat!  Thank goodness for that!! Update your profiles so I can read about you and feel free to contact me.  That would be lovely!

Till we meet again, Luanne

Now it's 2021.  Still active in theater and I'm happy to say that I received a Lifetime Achievement award from our local theater, Little Theatre On The Bay.  What an exciting and fun evening we had with family and friends!  I am blessed to be able to continue with my music.  Hoping to see lots of people at the reunion!

Marital status: Married
Children: 3
Occupation: Archaeologist Retired
Comment: My wife Cindy and I now live in Portland after having lived east of the Cascades (La Grande, Idaho, Colorado and Utah) for 35+ years.  We have three children and four grandchildren—all whom give us new meaning these days.

Wandering a while (Ok-like 4-5 years) through college classes, I settled on a career in Archaeology.  Archaeology work took us to small towns and cities in Idaho, eastern Oregon, Utah and Colorado.  I consider myself very fortunate to have worked in my chosen field all these years and am exceptionally grateful to my family for their love and support through several moves.

I retired in 2015 after serving a fifteen-year stint as the Bureau of Land Management’s lead archaeologist for the states of Idaho, Washington and Oregon.  My Geographer wife and I continue to ski, canoe, snorkel, hike, travel, camp, garden and taking advantage of the many things that Portland and NW life offer.

Comment: I am sorry to say that I won't be attending our reunion this year.  The U.S. has implemented a non-essential travel ban to August 21st and I have had to cancel all of my plans.  I was really looking forward to seeing all of you on the Friday and Saturday nights.  I guess, if all goes well, I will see you for the 55th reunion in 2025.  Stupid Covid, grrrrr.

I wish you all well, have fun and be safe!!!
